Counseling for maternal mental health, postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and postpartum mood disorders in Fort Worth, Texas

Therapy for Maternal Mental Health

Do you feel anxious? Irritable? Weighed down by expectations and carrying the mental load? Pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood can bring up a lot, and the experience is not always what we imagined.

I help parents make sense of the hard parts, feel more grounded in themselves, and feel more empowered in their parenting choices, finding more room for connection, confidence, and joy along the way.

While much of my work focuses on “moms,” I welcome and affirm all parents, including those in LGBTQ+ families or who identify beyond traditional gender roles. Please know you are welcome here no matter how your family looks.

It’s okay to ask for help.

Good moms worry.

Good moms have hard days.

Good moms second-guess their choices.

Becoming a mother changed the way I understood this work. Suddenly, I had a much more up-close and personal understanding of how enormous the transition to parenthood can be, how much identity can shift, how many conflicting feelings can exist at once, and how quickly old patterns or expectations can pop up uninvited.

I pursued advanced training through Postpartum Support International and earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), so that I could pair my lived experience with evidence-based clinical training.

I work with people who are trying to become parents, pregnant, postpartum, or somewhere grappling with the messy transition into parenthood.

I make space for the parts of parenthood you expected, the parts you absolutely did not, and the feelings you may not be comfortable saying out loud. We will notice what’s happening for you, relieve some of the pressure around what parenthood is “supposed” to look like, and help you find more room for yourself inside of it.
